EXFIL: Realistic PvP FPS Launching on Steam December 12
Dec 11,2024
Misultin Studios is set to launch their highly anticipated PvP tactical extraction shooter, EXFIL, on December 12. This game, which gained attention during the Steam Shooting Game Festival, promises an immersive combat experience featuring realistic bullet physics. Players can expect to engage in intense battles across various modes, including PvP and PvE.
Game Features and Modes
EXFIL supports up to 32 players, divided into four teams of eight. This diverse multiplayer setup allows for competitive gameplay in different environments. Upon its full release, the game will include an exciting scene editor feature, AI opponents, and new modes, enabling players to craft custom missions tailored to their play style.
Realistic Combat Mechanics
One of the standout features of EXFIL is its commitment to realism in combat. The game simulates bullet trajectories, penetration through cover and armor, and ricochet effects. Players will notice how bullets interact with various surfaces—impacting the thickness and material of obstacles, whether it's a wall, a person, or a ballistic shield.
Dynamic Weather and Day/Night Cycle
The game will also introduce a dynamic 24-hour day/night cycle, along with weather effects like rain, fog, and sandstorms. These elements will require players to adapt their strategies and gear to handle different combat scenarios effectively.
Modes and Maps
During the early access phase, players can experience two PvP modes: Classic Extraction and Rogue Extraction. In Classic Extraction, teams compete to secure the same objective, battling for intel and survival. Only one team will emerge victorious. Conversely, Rogue Extraction features an asymmetrical combat style, where players must outsmart a larger enemy force to successfully extract.
Players can explore six unique maps, including North Woods, Port Lobos, Camp Osprey, Mologa District, and New-Renegade Oil/Operation Anvil. Each location offers distinct terrains, ranging from dense forests to industrial zones and military camps, providing varied tactical opportunities.
Community Engagement and Customization
As part of its community-driven approach, EXFIL encourages players to join the wishlist on Steam ahead of the early access launch. This engagement will help the developers refine the game based on player feedback and expectations.
Future Developments and Updates
Looking ahead, Misultin Studios plans to implement regular updates post-launch, introducing new content and enhancements based on community input. This commitment to evolving the game ensures that players will have fresh experiences to explore long after the initial release.
Why You Should Join Early Access
Joining the early access phase of EXFIL not only grants players first dibs on the gameplay but also the chance to influence the game's development. Fans of tactical shooters should definitely keep an eye on this title, as it aims to deliver a unique blend of strategy and realism that stands out in the crowded FPS market.
